Carlos Avila(he/him) is an LA-based Mexican-American designer and educator focusing on typography, visual language, and user experience. Currently, Carlos splits his time as creative director of scent-based studio J.Pera and co-running virtual art space Serious Business and community-oriented Proyectos Tyrone, a conduit for BIPOC-centric projects that promote artisans/designers/humans from marginalized LA regions.
