Sadie is from the Spirit Lake Dakota Nation.
Sadie Red Wing is a graphic designer, educator, and advocate whose work focuses on visual sovereignty, Indigenous design systems, and decolonizing design education. She holds a BFA in New Media Arts and Interactive Design from the Institute of American Indian Arts and an MFA in Graphic Design from North Carolina State University. Red Wing currently serves as Assistant Director of Native Student Programs at the University of Redlands and has been featured in publications such as Eye on Design and Communication Arts.
